What it does
The Herbal Dye covers 100% of white hair from the first application. It colors with precision: the shade you choose is the shade you get, with no surprises or deviations. It fades gently over three to four weeks and avoids the harsh root effect of chemical dyes. You get a bright and natural color that works with your hair instead of forcing it.
How it does it
It's all in the gel formula. Where oxidative dyes penetrate the fiber and change its internal structure, this one coats it: it deposits a protective film around the hair, like a coloring treatment cream. The fiber is not damaged, nor is the scalp, and the result remains just as precise.
Why it's different
In 1979, Martine Mahé created this dye because she herself was allergic to chemical dyes. It wasn't a stance, it was a necessity. The formula has evolved since then, but the principle hasn't changed: color should never be a risk. Zero ammonia, zero PPD, zero resorcinol, zero hydrogen peroxide, made in France and dermatologically tested.

Quick usage tips
A 48-hour patch test is mandatory before first use.

Wash your hair with Mahé neutral shampoo. Squeeze out excess water, dry and detangle.

Apply thickly with a brush to the roots, lengths, and ends.

Leave on for the time indicated on the instructions (usually 45 to 60 minutes), covered with a shower cap.

Massage, then rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear.
